Why use our service?
We offer you an alternative to ‘not to scale’ tourist maps of wine regions that you typically get in printed brochures. Our maps are based on Google Maps data, which is constantly updated and continually improved.
Also by clicking on the ‘Satellite’or ‘Hybrid’ buttons, you can combine your map with a satellite image of the region. The Satellite mode can give you an idea of the terroir and geography of a wine region.

Especially in these times of water restrictions, satellite imagery will give you an excellent idea of how dry a wine region is and what conditions to expect. Hybrid mode simply super imposes the map over the satellite image.
What do I do if my region is not listed?
If we don’t yet have a winery in our database for that region, then the region won’t appear in our menus. When you click add a winery though, it will show you the complete list of regions in our database.
If your region still isn’t in our database and there’s no valid alternative, please let us know.
Is your winery data totally accurate?
Not in all instances no. Given that many wineries don’t have complete postal addresses (eg no street number), some coordinates will be approximate. That’s why we encourage members to make their submissions as accurate as possible; otherwise we reserve the right to reject them.
You can also request an update to a winery. Simply find the winery first, then follow the links.
Why don’t all wineries have a link to their site?
The link to the winery's web site is not a mandatory feature. If you are the proprietor of a winery and want to have a link added from your map location, please request an update and we will gladly consider.
Why are some wineries listed and not others?
To get this site started, we found about 140 well known wineries that had complete street addresses in popular wine publications and publicly available information. For the most part this process was random and unbiased to any particular winery or region.
Someone else has entered in my winery, but the details are inaccurate. What do I do?
You can request an update by selecting the winery and clicking the 'request an update' link (see below). This will let you alter the address, get a more precise location, or add details such as a web link and whether the winery has a cafe etc.

Update requests are then verified by our admin staff and approved. Usually approvals occur within 24 hours.
Why did you reject my winery submission?
A submission will be rejected if it's too innaccurate a repeat submission. Remember, new submissions are published on the wineries by state page. So if you're waiting to see your submission on the map, check there. We'll be in contact if there's something awry with your submission.
If we suspect a submission to be an attempt at vandalism, we reserve the right to reject it. You are welcome to resubmit. But continued spamming may result in your account being suspended.
Why must I join?
Simply to create a community aspect to the site and also so that (where possible) people can be recognised for their contribution. It also gives us a foundation of users to inform about future upgrades and functions to the site.
Who owns and operates this site?
This site is independent of any retail, tourist board, government, winery or viticultural organisation. In other words, we’re not owned by a brewery! It’s a personal project to get world class mapping services available to all Australian wineries.
How do I add a winery to the maps database?
Once you sign up as a member, all you need is an address to add a winery to a region map. After you submit your entry, it will be reviewed by our administration staff. If it meets our criteria, then it should be added within 2 business days to the map.
Why don’t satellite images work everywhere when I zoom in?
In some remote regions, detailed satellite imagery may not yet be available. Please remember though as Google’s service grows (Australian maps and imagery have only been available since April 2006), more detailed satellite imagery may become available.
Are the satellite images ‘live’?
No. For all intents and purposes, they could be as old as a few weeks or as new as a few hours. But a new image is not generated every time you zoom in.
Can I use, or link to these maps on my own site?
Yes. Simply click the 'link this map' option on the main maps page, and you can select between a link to the region only, or the region showing your selected winery.
We can provide assistance and code to setup Google Maps on your site on a consultancy basis. Please for further info.
Are these maps available for other countries?
Never say never.
What is your privacy policy?
We will never divulge your information to a third party without your prior consent.
Why can't I get a map for my address!?
This is by no means a full list. But here are some tips to get your site right.
